Position Summary

Comfort Squad is seeking dedicated and courteous Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to join our growing team. As a NEMT Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe, timely, and comfortable transportation services for elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and other clients who require assistance traveling to and from medical appointments, day programs, rehabilitation centers, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transportation Services: Safely transport clients to and from medical facilities, adult day care centers, pharmacies, and other essential appointments.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional, friendly, and respectful service to all clients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the ride.
  • Vehicle Safety: Operate company vehicles in compliance with state and local traffic laws and Comfort Squad safety protocols.
  • Assistance: Assist clients in and out of vehicles as needed, including use of mobility devices such as wheelchairs and walkers.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of transportation services including trip times, mileage, and client interactions using company-approved software or forms.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keep vehicles clean, fueled, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, company policies, and any relevant local and state regulations.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid Nebraska driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to assist individuals with special needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility devices.


Preferred:

  • Previous experience in healthcare, caregiving, or transportation services.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Familiarity with wheelchair securement and passenger assistance techniques (training provided if necessary).


Hours of Operation

Comfort Squad’s transportation services operate:

Monday through Saturday: 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Drivers have flexibility to work within these hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends based on scheduling needs.

Work Schedule

  • Flexible scheduling available: Part-Time or Full-Time.
  • Shifts may vary within the standard hours of operation.
