The Opportunity
As a logistics manager, you know that every program relies on clearly defined management processes to work. You understand Naval government programs, systems and material specifications. You know that using MIL-STDs is critical to ensuring the integrity of the mission. We’re looking for a logistics engineer like you to apply your engineering and process improvement experience. You will lead, plan for, manage and execute all efforts encompassing the ILS elements and their related functional areas, as well as across other technical functional areas, such as Supply, Technical Support, ILS Certifications, and Provisioning to help coordinate all system elements and ensure long-lasting integration and sustainment.
As a logistics engineer on our team, you’ll use your logistics subject matter expertise to create a path forward that meets design requirements and ensures functionality.
In this role, you’ll use your engineering logistics and materials knowledge to contribute to the safety of the warfighter. You’ll work closely with Civilian GS-15 and other senior team members to grow your skills in root-cause analysis and process improvement resolution.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- Experience developing provisioning technical documentation (PTD) packages in accordance with standards or instructions, and updating existing PTD packages due to production design change notices (DCN) or Engineering Changes (EC) in accordance with MIL-STD-1561B or ICAPS 87-01-UG
- Experience providing support and submitting recommended modifications to the initial production provisioning baseline to ensure effective tracking, reporting, and management in support of production and procurement of Naval Systems
- Experience providing Spares Analysis of Usage Data received from Operation Forces, and from recommendations received from the systems effectiveness function, including Mean-Time-Between-Failure (MTBF), Failure Data, Repair Data, and COSAL reports as it relates to as-built baseline FRACAS data and Reliability Block Diagrams
- Experience in the Product Support Planning, including supporting development or updates to the Maintenance Concept and Maintenance Plans, and supporting the development and updating of Planned Maintenance System (PMS), to include Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs) and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs)
- Experience providing Technical Manual (TM) updates and development, with updates resulting from new production designs to ensure effective configuration control and reporting of technical data, including adding updates to manuals and coordinating with the Naval Systems Data Support Activity (NSDSA) and Technical Writers
- Knowledge of Configuration Management tools, processes, functions and tasks to include CM planning, implementation and management, configuration identification, configuration change management control, configuration status accounting, configuration verification, and audit and data management
- Ability to plan, analyze budget, and manage the functions and tasks of Supply Support
- Ability to provide technical assistance and guidance to external supply agencies and item managers on requisitions, repairs, forecasted stocking levels, and funding levels
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
