Naval Acquisition Project Manager

The Opportunity

As a project management specialist, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, an experienced project management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication.

On our team, you’ll implement and maintain organizational programs in support of NAVWAR. You’ll work with key stakeholders to review contracts and project cost accounting. You’ll help with tactical planning using resources like MS Project and regular interactions with Integrated Product Team members.

You Have

  • 6+ years of experience with program support for defense programs
  • Experience assisting and supporting the development of recommended and required program acquisition documentation according to DoD regulations and directives
  • Experience providing NAVWAR or NAVSEA IT program or project management support to clients
  • Experience with Navy financial processes and systems
  • Experience developing and managing complex schedules using Microsoft Project, running meetings, managing issues and action items, analyzing information for trends, and consolidating information for senior level awareness and decision making
  • Knowledge of the principles to support the design, analysis, manufacturing or maintenance of Navy systems
  • Ability to provide the Navy with expert and in-depth program management, acquisition, documentation, and logistics planning
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have

  • Experience supporting GS-15 and above level program and portfolio managers
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps or Power BI
  • Experience working in a team environment to meet client challenges and analyze new solutions using analytical techniques and referencing NAVSEA regulatory and policy updates
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
