MEP Inspector

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP Inspector to be a part of the $19.5 billion Redevelopment Program at JFK Airport. The MEP Inspector will be responsible for site safety, scheduling inspections, observing field testing, and commissioning of the MEP systems.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Review daily field inspections, maintain inspection reports, and prepare progress reports.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate monthly payment quantities.
• Responsible for maintaining managing reports, daily narratives, quantities installed, classified logs and time and material tickets.
• Verify that construction activities comply according to contracts and specifications.
• Communicate project information with clients and project staff.
• Prepare punch lists with the owner upon completion of the project.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience working on large scale, complex construction projects.
• Experience inspecting MEP systems.
• ICC Commercial Mechanical Inspector Certification is preferred.
• ICC Commercial Energy Inspector Certification is preferred.
• Spray Applied Fireproofing Special Inspector Certification is preferred.
• Prior aviation and/or PANYNJ experience is preferred.
• Must possess an OSHA 30 before first day of employment.
  
  

Salary: $50-$60 Hourly
