Mechanical Engineering Intern – CAD Design & Robotics (Onshape/SolidWorks)

We are building next-generation robotics platforms at the intersection of mobility, AI, and design. Our team has pioneered robots that operate in healthcare, logistics, and smart city infrastructure. We’re now expanding into new robotic systems and are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineering Intern to help bring these ideas to life.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a creative and motivated Mechanical Engineering intern with strong CAD skills and a passion for robotics. You’ll work closely with our engineers on the design and development of robotic mechanisms, gear trains, enclosures, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using Onshape and/or SolidWorks
• Participate in the design and iteration of robotic systems, actuators, and mechanical linkages
• Support prototyping, DFM (design for manufacturing), and component integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical and AI engineers) on end-to-end robot development
  
  

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency in Onshape and/or SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and design fundamentals
• Interest or experience in robotics, gear design, or mechanical systems
• Ability to think creatively and solve open-ended design problems
  
  

Preferred (but Not Required)

• Hands-on prototyping or 3D printing experience
• Familiarity with motion systems, actuators, or robotic linkages
• Prior project experience in robotics competitions or labs
