Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for industrial construction projects.
- Provide engineering design and technical support for industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and energy efficiency.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Review RFIs, contractor submittals, and technical project documents.
- Collaborate with architects, civil/electrical engineers, and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
- Coordinate with CAD technicians and field staff to provide design and construction support.
- Conduct site inspections and support during construction phases.
- Ensure all mechanical designs and installations meet applicable building codes and standards.
- Assist with project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Support sales with quoting, design development, and customer interactions.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support company and project success.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
- Hands-on experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desired.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design software.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and construction processes.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
