We are seeking a Communication Specialist to handle 911 calls and dispatch emergency services efficiently and accurately within established timeframes.
- Respond to emergency calls, gather critical information, verify incident locations, and stay on the line until first responders arrive.
- Coach callers as needed and assign appropriate emergency units promptly, ensuring all dispatch information is sent within 30 seconds.
- Manage ambulance posting plans and coordinate with helicopter services when required.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; emergency medical dispatch training is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes at least 1 year in a communications center.
- Must perform well under stress, follow instructions, and handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism with callers and responders.
