The Gist

Responsible for processing product orders, monitoring the return and disposition of direct, indirect and returnable materials in support of current and future production needs. This proactive planner will learn and refine company purchasing policies and procedures and maintain supply inventory levels. The purchaser engages with Lagunitas’ supply base to ensure continuity of supply while managing appropriate inventory levels to minimize risk of loss and obsolescence. This role contributes to a full range of supply management services by assisting in SRM, strategic sourcing, supplier quality, and supply chain risk management. This partner works closely with the Operations, Strategy, and Supply Chain teams to coordinate the development of plans and to ensure business needs are met by the supply base.

What You’ll Do

• Manages the timely flow of materials in the right quantities as the single point of contact between suppliers and breweries.
• Identify discrepancies with purchase orders and implement solutions.
• Purchase materials in support of new product innovation and testing.
• Executes Lagunitas’ strategic sourcing process for applicable spend categories.
• Monitors supplier quality performance and manages supplier scorecards in support of supplier quality management initiatives.
• Identifies risk in Lagunitas’ supply chain and drives the development of risk mitigation plans with affected business stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply, safety, and financial sustainability.
• Assists in the negotiation process for select spend categories.
• Identifies and develops business processes to improve departmental effectiveness and ensure sound supply management discipline.
• Supports Operations through facilitation of supplier quality, service, and supply challenges to ensure continuity of production and facilitate future growth.
• Prepares data and reports for regional and global teams to support planning and procurement activities
  
  

What We’re Lookin’ For

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Inventory Management preferred.
• Strong understanding of operations needs and challenges.
• Ability to manage competing priorities within a dynamic environment.
• Must be analytical, organized and efficient.
• A constant learner, able to flourish in a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
