Job Description
- Support the principal designer through all phases of design, from concept to installation.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation (presentations, moodboards, finish & material schedules, orders, budgets, etc)
- Communicate with vendors, showrooms, and trades for quotes, order tracking, coordinating deliveries, and gathering information as needed.
- Assist with product research and inspired sourcing of furnishings, lighting, accessories, fixtures, finishes, and material options.
- Prepare detailed furniture and construction plans, elevations, millwork details, and drawing sets in AutoCAD, according to standard practice.
- Occasionally travel to project sites, showrooms, or warehouses.
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related fields is preferred.
- Proficiency in the following: Google platform, Canva, Asana or other task management software, Dropbox.
- Minimum 2+ years of interior design work experience.
- Proficient level of AutoCAD experience (minimum 2+ years is preferred).
- Must have a strong attention to detail.
- Works well both independently and on a team.
- Energetic, passionate, focused, and excited about helping our studio grow.
- Highly organized with proven ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Valid Driver's License, reliable car, and car insurance required to run errands and pick up/return items. Mileage is reimbursed.
- Candidates must be either a U.S. citizen or have a valid employment visa to work in the U.S. and be located in Bay Area, California.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
- 3D rendering skills (CAD, Sketchup or other)
- Experience with Studio Designer, Design Files or other product management software, Photoshop.
