The Manager or Director of Live Event Marketing will be an energetic self-starter and an intuitive marketing, media, and sales strategist. Your proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to ignite new and existing revenue streams will be critical to your success in this position. This individual will significantly impact the profitability of assigned events and drive corporate performance and revenue for the AEW.

- Develop, present, and execute comprehensive live event marketing plans that accelerate and achieve aggressive revenue goals.
- Evaluate all aspects of AEW’s live event business, including but not limited to marketing, advertising, promotions, earned media, research, pricing, and sponsorship, to identify and establish new opportunities to drive incremental revenue.
- Develop strong relationships with venues and AEW media partners to maximize marketability, activation, and usage of AEW intellectual rights.
- Lead and work cross-divisionally with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Creative, Digital Media, Public Relations, and Production) to ensure all pre- and post-event information and promotions are communicated to our targeted audience well in advance, ultimately driving increased profitability for assigned events.
- Develop integrated outreach campaigns with the PR Department to heighten awareness around marquee events.
- Work with Finance/Accounting to manage event budgets and drive cost efficiencies.
- Maintain critical metrics and provide periodic reports to the VP of Live Event Marketing
- Additional duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and personal sales skills
- Experience in developing and executing strategic marketing plans and campaigns
- Experience developing budgets and forecasting
- Demonstrated successful experience in making written and oral presentations, as well as negotiating with media and partners
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities at one time –to deliver results on time and under budget
- Previous Sports or Live Event Marketing experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Suites (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to travel extensively for events and meetings
