Description

TRISTAR is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead Logistician and Integrated Product Support (IPS) Lead to oversee all logistics and product support activities for the GBAD Software Support Activity (SSA). This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to lead critical logistics functions supporting the lifecycle management, integration, and sustainment of mission-essential software systems. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of managing complex logistics operations within software-intensive environments, providing leadership to diverse teams, and driving continuous process improvements aligned with Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and sustainment frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the GBAD SSA Lead Logistician and IPS Lead, responsible for all product support execution, planning, and reporting across software integration projects.
  • Lead a team of Product Support Professionals—providing mentorship, direction, and performance management to ensure effective lifecycle support from acquisition through disposal.
  • Represent GBAD SSA in all acquisition and in-service logistics matters, coordinating with the government customer, engineering, QA, and CM teams.
  • Develop and maintain software logistics documentation, including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), maintenance procedures, configuration management artifacts, and QA documentation.
  • Oversee Configuration Management (CM) and Quality Assurance (QA) logistics support, ensuring all assets and builds are tracked and documented in accordance with program standards.
  • Manage SIL logistical requirements, including coordination of software builds, lab tools, spares, and consumables to support continuous integration activities.
  • Utilize product support and readiness metrics to assess performance, identify risks, and provide data-driven recommendations for improving system reliability and maintainability.
  • Manage Government Furnished Property (GFP).
  • Accept and verify GFP documentation.
  • Maintain auditable GFP tracking within both contractor and government systems.
  • Coordinate return of GFP with complete documentation and accountability.
  • Support ERP and SharePoint-based asset management processes, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance with DoD standards.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, internal audits, and program reviews to enhance IPS and sustainment effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8–10 years of logistics or IPS experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity supporting DoD software or system sustainment programs.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition logistics, IPS elements, and lifecycle sustainment planning.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management (CM), Quality Assurance (QA), and Software Integration Lab (SIL) operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, SharePoint, and CM tools (e.g., GitLab, Jira, DOORS, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience managing GFP, including documentation, audits, and compliance tracking.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Active or interim Secret clearance required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Systems Engineering, or related field
