Position Summary:

The Loan Operations Representative 2 works with both loan operations management and personnel in all aspects of lending, booking, and post-closing as it relates to Retail and Non-Profit loans. The day-to-day activities include monitoring the bank’s participation portfolio, SBA and other government back loans and required escrow analysis.

This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay.

This position may be filled at a lower or higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:

  • GED or High school diploma
  • 5 years of experience with escrow analysis, insurance and tax payment, residential mortgage lending, loan application policies and procedures, and documentation requirements on commercial, residential and consumer loans
  • Knowledge/experience with: Horizon system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Developed cognitive skills to include Analytical, Problem Solving, Innovation, Decision-Making, Organization & Planning
  • Developed intrapersonal skills to include Follow-Through, Ambition, Resourcefulness, Initiative
  • Developed interpersonal skills to include Communication: Listening, Speaking, and Writing, Client Focus, Versatility

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:

  • Knowledge/experience in: FCM system, Encompass system

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, process, and reconcile daily settlement general ledgers, loan participation activity, SBA and other government-backed loan reports
  • Prepare and submit monthly USDA, VA, and other government-backed loan reports
  • Review and process required monthly escrow analysis statements, special off-cycle escrow analyses, and waiver request
  • Process and review daily escrow transactions, surpluses, shortages, and deficiencies
  • On-Board unsecured consumer loans & non-profit loans
  • Perform monthly MERS reconcilement and data corrections
  • Process verifications of loans and mortgages
  • Process request for e-statement enrollment and e-statement request
  • Process charge-offs and recovery requests from Special Assets Department
  • Process loan modification request, CITA’s, payment deferrals, and other specialized maintenance request
  • Process request for statement regeneration for year-end request
  • Assist manager to formulate and interpret policies or operating practices
  • Answer and respond to calls from customers, insurance agents and branch personnel
  • Assist with training of departmental personnel
  • Perform required system maintenance as requested
  • Assist in the preparation of any reports needed
  • Assist management with special projects to ensure tasks are performed timely and accurately

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as appointed by management
  • Physical Requirements: primarily sitting with some standing, walking, lifting and bending
