Trueline’s client, a growing Colorado-based law firm, is seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney to join their team in Lakewood. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven legal professional with deep trial experience and a strong grasp of insurance defense litigation to step into a high-impact role within a supportive, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do As The Litigation Attorney

  • Manage a full caseload across various litigation areas, including insurance defense, real estate disputes, and fiduciary-related claims
  • Oversee cases through all phases—from intake and discovery to settlement, trial, and appeal
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Meet with clients and respond to inquiries regarding case status and strategy
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in business development efforts
  • Appear in district, administrative, and county courts as needed

Must-Haves As The Litigation Attorney

  • Active license to practice law in Colorado
  • 7–10 years of litigation experience, including trial work in district courts
  • Background in insurance defense and/or complex civil litigation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and handle cases independently
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and interpersonal tact
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Nice-To-Haves As The Litigation Attorney

  • Familiarity with Practice Master or similar case management systems
  • Experience with NetDocuments or comparable document management software
  • Portable book of business
  • Comfortable, relatable communication style that balances professionalism with authenticity
