Key Responsibilities
- Client Coordination – Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, gathering and organizing documents and information necessary for discovery.
- Court Filings – Prepare, review, and file legal documents with state and federal courts, ensuring full compliance with applicable rules, procedures, and deadlines.
- Calendar & Case Management – Maintain and manage attorneys’ calendars, including scheduling hearings, tracking case timelines, and calculating critical deadlines.
- Document Preparation – Draft, proofread, and prepare legal forms, pleadings, filings, and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy.
- Discovery Support – Assist in preparing discovery requests, responses, and related legal documents, based on experience and attorney guidance.
- Administrative Assistance – Support day-to-day office operations, including general administrative tasks, to ensure efficient workflow across the litigation team.
- Experience: Minimum of 1+ years as a Legal Assistant or in a litigation support role, preferably within a fast-paced law firm environment.
- Court Filing Expertise: Proficiency with state and federal court filing procedures, including both electronic (e-filing) and in-person submissions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to effectively interact with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
- Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to accuracy, organization, and quality control in handling sensitive legal documents and deadlines.
- Time Management: Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize competing demands, and work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
