Asset Manager Commercial

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Asset Manager to oversee the performance and profitability of our operational solar assets. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial management of energy projects and a strong understanding of contracts, financial modeling, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of a portfolio of operating solar assets (PPAs, interconnection agreements, land leases, etc.)
• Monitor financial and operational KPIs, flag underperformance, and drive resolutions
• Coordinate with O&M providers, asset owners, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting efforts
• Lead monthly and quarterly asset reviews, including performance summaries and risk analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve asset value through operational efficiencies or contract optimizations
• Assist in refinancing, sale, or restructuring efforts as needed
• Maintain strong relationships with utilities, off-takers, landowners, and internal teams
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in asset management, project finance, or operations in the renewable energy sector (solar preferred)
• Strong understanding of PPA structures, financial modeling, and contract compliance
• Excellent Excel skills; experience with asset management platforms is a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
