Position Purpose and Objectives
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for driving the implementation and evaluation of learning initiatives within the organization. This role focuses on analyzing data, assessing training effectiveness, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop tailored learning experiences that support business goals.
Major Duties And Essential Functions
Specific Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required For This Position:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Finance or Education.
Learning and Experience: Minimum of 3 years of financial institution experience with 2 plus years’ experience within Learning and Development.
Physical Activities And Requirements Of This Position

Sedentary Work
The employee will regularly sit, stand, and walk. The employee will occasionally, climb or balance, and stoup, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions of this Position
DESCRIPTION
None. No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. However, the employee is occasionally required work evenings and/or weekends. Occasional travel may be required.

The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for driving the implementation and evaluation of learning initiatives within the organization. This role focuses on analyzing data, assessing training effectiveness, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop tailored learning experiences that support business goals.
Major Duties And Essential Functions
- Design, develop, and facilitate engaging training programs and resources to support employee development, onboarding, and organizational initiatives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to learning and development specialists, guiding their professional growth and development.
- Drive continuous improvement in training strategies and methodologies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop comprehensive training plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage the implementation of learning initiatives, ensuring effective delivery and evaluation of training programs.
- Assess and enhance the performance of learning and development specialists through structured feedback and support.
- Oversee the learning management system and career pathing software, optimizing functionality and usability for employees.
- Serve as an expert resource in instructional design principles and adult learning theories, offering guidance and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Lead the development of customized training content and courses tailored to meet the specific needs of different departments and business units.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through data analysis and feedback mechanisms.
- Coordinate, organize, schedule, and communicate registration requirements, promotional material for training events and resources, and follow up or evaluation tasks about companywide training to the appropriate employees.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization, fostering employee growth and engagement.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Corporate Trainers (CTs), Instructional Designer (ID), and other relevant stakeholders to assess learning needs, analyze course objectives, and develop effective learning experiences, materials, and courses tailored to meet business and departmental goals.
- Collaborate with and support CUTX professionals to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve business goals and personal career growth.
