The Junior Software Developer will play a key role in helping us achieve our mission to improve and transform K-12 education. Your focus will be on supporting and maintaining software systems that enable us to modernize, evaluate, improve, and standardize the way schools view, interpret, and respond to data.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain software systems that help us modernize, evaluate, improve, and standardize the way schools view, interpret and respond to data.
- Work with and be familiar with most of the following technologies: Google Cloud Platform, Docker, GIT, GitLab CI/CD, Go, Zapier, Python, Flask/Django, TypeScript, Vue.js, Notion API, SQL, unix systems, Postman API.
- Maintain and expand our technical documentation in Notion.
- Collaborate within and across internal teams to accomplish deliverable tasks utilizing existing, modern solutions all whilst supporting teams and software.
- Assist in monitoring the efficacy of implemented strategies, communicating outcomes internally.
- Stay informed of current trends and best practices in educational technology and software development in relation to data analytics, sharing knowledge with the team and partners to drive continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate skill growth and development with a focus on being a critical part of the team.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development or a related field preferred but optional.
- 1+ years of experience in software development and ability to learn quickly.
- History of work experience and collaboration, organizational skills and documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
