DEKA Research & Development, housed in Manchester, NH, is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced IT Systems Engineer with strong communication, technical and team skills.

This is an on-site role in Manchester New Hampshire’s burgeoning technology center. Remote will not be considered.

How you will make an impact:

  • Plans, designs, implements, monitors and maintains the Windows servers including AD, GP, and Exchange across multiple domains.
  • Proficient experience with Azure, Azure AD/Entra ID, O365, Sharepoint, and Okta
  • Creating and maintaining VM lifecycles in an ESXi and Nutanix environment
  • Maintaining disaster recovery best practices and testing
  • Champion best practices, and stewardship by constantly seeking to improve personal knowledge and company processes
  • Participates in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and provides highest level escalation expertise for domain or server issue resolution.
  • Maintain and monitor Linux servers including GPU and AI machine learning clusters
  • Maintaining large capacity network shares of NFS, CIFS, FTP data silos.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • BS in Information Technology or related field or equivalent proven working experience in the field
  • At least 3-6 years of Systems Administration experience in an enterprise environment or lead systems role
  • MCSE/ VMware certification strongly preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Management of Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, Dell/EMC Unity, CEPH
  • Exchange and Exchange cloud migration experience
  • Experience with SQL
  • Ability to work concurrently on multiple tasks and projects
  • Experienced documentation, organizational, and project management skills
  • Mentors others, sets the example of others to follow and demonstrates initiative, customer service, and attitude
  • Must be able to work on-site at DEKA 5 days a week
