The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTMT) at the University of South Carolina invites applications for a full-time professional-track faculty position at the Instructor level. This is a 9-month position consisting of key duties and responsibilities reflected as follows: teach courses in the School of HTMT, provide guidance to students in the major, collaborate with other departmental faculty in the general mission of the unit, and serve on Department, College, or University committees as needed.

Required Education And Experience

Earned Master’s Degree in Hospitality or Tourism Management, or alternatively in another closely related field with a concentration in one or more of the teaching areas listed below (minimum 18 graduate semester hours). Primary teaching experience in at least two of the following: club management, golf tourism, event management, hospitality management, tourism management. Secondary teaching interests in one or more of the following: festival management, foodservice management. At least 2 years of hospitality or tourism operations work experience.

The salary range is $65K – 71K and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
