Summary
Under the general supervision of the VP HR, assists in developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating programs that further the mission of the Johns Hopkins Human Resources department. Manages special and ongoing programs. Assists with coordinating activities, calendars, and events.
- Oversee front desk operations and HR office organization, including the management of employee files on-site and in the HRIS system
- Submit and track vendor invoices and ensure timely payment processing
- Manage employee well-being initiatives, including oversight of recharge rooms and management of well-being volunteers and Healthy at Hopkins champions
- Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientation
- Support employee engagement and HR training programs
- Assist with the facilitation of employee accommodation requests
- Handle confidential inquiries and provide high-quality customer service to staff
- Generate reports, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with HR policies
A bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.
One year of relevant education or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Requires up to two years of progressive human resources, office management, or program experience administration experience.
General Requirements
Comprehensive understanding of departmental and Hospital policies and procedures, budget verification and analysis, spreadsheets, and database management.
Requires a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to analyze situations. Also need advanced MS Office computer skills.
Demonstrates ability to analyze, plan, and organize multiple projects or responsibilities.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information and situations.
Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary to interact with diverse groups of people, exchange information, and produce written correspondence.
Ability to influence and negotiate individual and group decision-making.
Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations; handling multiple demands and demonstrating flexibility in adapting to changing conditions.
Salary Range: $26.12/hour - $43.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
