Loyola University New Orleans is seeking a head coach to lead the men's and women's golf teams.
Reporting to the Athletic Director, this individual will be responsible for the total operation of the highly competitive NAIA men's and women's golf teams. Responsibilities will include all duties normally associated with being the head coach of an intercollegiate golf program including, but not limited to, recruiting, coaching, budget management, organization of training, practices and competitions, academic monitoring and other duties as assigned. Additional expectations of this position include mentoring of student-athletes and commitment to their academic progress and degree completion; knowledge of and commitment to all governing body and institutional rules and regulations; game administration duties; and some departmental and campus committee work/involvement.
Candidates must demonstrate significant knowledge of golf; proven success in coaching/teaching golf at the collegiate or professional level; the ability to recruit, develop and motivate student-athletes; and a strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes. The successful candidate must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong leadership skills. A bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and valid driver’s license are required.
