We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our supportive and encouraging team and assist with our Medical Home Visits program. This role will support the team with vaccines, clerical tasks, and more.

Responsibilities
- Help patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
- Maintain medical supplies inventory and perform preventive maintenance on medical equipment.
- Verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of visits.
- Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; and reporting patient history summaries.
- Save doctors’ time by assisting with office procedures.
- Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality by safeguarding medical records and completing diagnostic and procedure coding.
- Counsel patients by transmitting physician’s orders and addressing questions about surgery.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and legal regulations.
- Monitor inventory stock, place orders, and verify receipts to keep supplies ready.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and serve the practice by adhering to professional standards.
- Medical Assistant Certification.
- 2-3 years of experience in a medical office.
- Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) and medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Pay rate of $23 - $25 per hour, depending on experience.
