Full Stack Software Engineer

TLDR: Opportunity to work at a VC-backed early stage AI startup out of Johns Hopkins building in healthcare

My name is Oren, a medical student at Johns Hopkins. Over the past few years, our team has been developing a tool that uses AI to help patients save on healthcare costs. We've recently secured funding to accelerate our work and are looking to expand our team.

We are looking for people with significant software engineering experience to join us for a 3 month+ software engineering position starting asap.

Who We Are

CodaHx is building an AI-powered app to help patients better manage their healthcare expenses. Our mission is to make paying for healthcare as easy as buying your groceries. This is no easy task, but the problem is too big not to solve.

Position Details

• Compensation: $25-$35/hr and/or equity based on performance, personal and company timeline, etc.
• Term: 3 months (Sept to Dec) with potential for long-term continuation
• Hours: 20+ hours/week minimum commitment
• Schedule: Flexible hybrid schedule with in-person work in our downtown Baltimore office space

Relevant Experiences

• Next.js/React/TypeScript
• Modern UI component libraries (Mantine, Tailwind, Material-UI, etc.)
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud providers

Nice To Have's

• UI/UX design experience
• Background in healthcare
• Experience with AI development tools (i.e. Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code etc.)
• Graduate student or beyond preferred
