Position Summary
The Field Marketing Manager is a key leader responsible for driving brand visibility, qualified lead generation, and field team performance across assigned territories. This role will directly oversee the Neighborhood Canvassing and Shows & Events teams, setting clear goals and holding team members accountable to performance metrics such as set rate, demo volume, lead quality, and campaign ROI.

Position Summary
The Field Marketing Manager is a key leader responsible for driving brand visibility, qualified lead generation, and field team performance across assigned territories. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Accountability
- Recruit, train, mentor, and performance-manage field cross-functional marketing teams who do both door-to-door canvassing and event/retail marketing.
- Establish clear KPIs and hold team members accountable to metrics such as lead volume, conversion rates, set rate, and attendance compliance.
- Foster a high-performance “Have Fun and Make Money!” culture focused on outcomes, continuous improvement, and team engagement.
- Lead bi-weekly team meetings and performance reviews to drive transparency and accountability.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality execution of marketing initiatives across all assigned territories.
- Manage schedules, event staffing, team communications, and field operations to ensure full coverage and target attainment.
- Conduct regular field visits and ride-alongs to coach in real time and ensure executional excellence.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
- # of Appointments Generated
- Set-to-Demo Rate
- Cost per Lead / ROI
- Event ROI and Brand Impact
- Partner with Inside Sales Center and Sales Leadership to align field marketing performance with overall revenue goals.
- Use data insights to adjust strategies and optimize resource allocation and team deployment.
- Serve as a brand leader, ensuring all field interactions reflect our core values and high service standards.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, community organizations, and event hosts to enhance lead generation opportunities.
- Champion a customer-first mindset that translates into positive brand experiences in the field.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of leadership experience in field marketing, direct sales, or event marketing.
- Proven ability to manage performance through metrics and drive accountability.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- High level of initiative, organization, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable with CRM systems and performance tracking tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Experience in the home improvement or remodeling industry.
- Background in managing distributed or remote field teams.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar dashboards).
- Accountability & Ownership: Sets clear expectations and holds team members responsible for hitting targets.
- Strategic Execution: Translates goals into actionable plans with measurable outcomes.
- Coaching & Development: Elevates team capabilities through consistent feedback and mentorship.
- Analytical Thinking: Leverages performance data to inform decisions and improve effectiveness.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Builds trust and excitement through compelling field interactions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per day) during events, field visits, or canvassing activities.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds (e.g., event materials, promotional displays, tents, etc.).
- Must be able to work both indoors (e.g., retail environments) and outdoors (e.g., residential neighborhoods, community events) in various weather conditions.
- Frequent driving and travel between locations required; must maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to safely and effectively set up and tear down event displays and marketing booths.
- Frequent use of hands for data entry, mobile device usage, and handling marketing materials.
- Must be able to visually assess marketing setup quality and read printed materials, signs, and digital devices.
