We Offer
We are seeking a compassionate individual to provide support to families to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of Family Support Services participants. This position serves as resource and support for the family to navigate the services in the children's system of care. In addition, the Family Support Specialist will work with the Children's Outpatient Clinical team to assure follow-through on participant treatment plans and meet with the treatment team on a regular basis to provide updates and to report observations.

We are seeking a compassionate individual to provide support to families to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of Family Support Services participants. This position serves as resource and support for the family to navigate the services in the children's system of care. In addition, the Family Support Specialist will work with the Children's Outpatient Clinical team to assure follow-through on participant treatment plans and meet with the treatment team on a regular basis to provide updates and to report observations.
Qualifications Required
- High School diploma or GED and must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess valid drivers license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation. Transports participants to scheduled activities.
- Experience as a parent, foster parent, adoptive parent or a caretaker of a child with Behavioral Health needs and experience with the children's services systems.
- Proven experience with effective time management skills to ensure superior level of customer service to clients.
- Able to work professionally and effectively with others from diverse ethnic and cultural groups.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Certification in first aid, CPR and CPI, if you do not possess certification agency will provide training.
- Ability to type and working knowledge/familiarity with computers and electronic clinical record keeping with good customer service and basic typing skills
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
- Experience working in Integrated Healthcare, Behavioral Health or Residential
- Advanced knowledge of cultural diversity and sensitivity
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to positively interact and develop rapport with mentally ill participants and their families, professional and support staff, and various levels of staff from community agencies.
- Able to maintain a calm, non-defensive, supportive attitude during crisis or potential crisis situations.
- Long periods of sitting, ability to bend, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Able to operate phone, Fax, copier, and a computer.
- Must be fully ambulatory and able to assist participants.
- Must be able to operate an Agency vehicle.
