Events Manager

Brief Description

Under direct supervision, the Events Manager will perform all duties related to planning and executing all DMP major events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; significant work experience can substitute for the degree
• At least one year experience coordinating special events
• Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading skills and speaking
• Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments with little supervision
• Flexible with overtime.
• Any other equivalent combination of training and experience.
  
  

Typical Duties And Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts and book event space, arrange food and beverage, ensure appropriate décor and solicit entertainment for Christmas party.
• Plan, schedule and manage approximately 5 off-site Dealer Events – securing meeting space, room blocks, food/beverage, promotions, invitations and RSVPs year-round. Expect 3-4 travel days/event.
• Plan and coordinate Summer and Winter Summits, including promotion, food/beverage, and evening activities.
• Negotiate contracts for the Picnic, including food/beverage vendors and entertainment company.
• Support Project100’s vision and DMP’s charitable acts, including annual company-wide volunteer night.
• Plan and coordinate 4 Quarterly PDT lunches/Summit, including promotion, food/beverage, and additional activities, as needed.
• Creatively celebrate sales milestones.
