Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

Performs limited patient care duties under the supervision of staff nurse. Maintains an environment conducive to the patient’s well being.

Required Qualifications

Current CA EMT Certification with recent ambulance or hospital experience; Current BLS

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• One year experience in a related emergency medical field or acute hospital setting
• 12 lead EKG class.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  
  

Physical Requirements: Position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday; Sitting is approximately 25%; Must be able to transfer and lift patients as necessary. Weight will vary from patient to patient; Must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities; Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; Must be free from signs of illness and infections.
