Day in the Life of a Driver

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Recovery Route Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for the recovery of materials or products from customer sites along a designated route and assisting with day-to-day warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong organizational skills and a commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Route Driving / Recovery (Approx. 50%)

  • Operate company vehicle to collect recovery materials (e.g., used products, returns, recyclable goods) from customer locations on assigned routes.
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring secure transport.
  • Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, and inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and customer service teams.
  • Move trailers and containers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and parking spots within the yard.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.

Warehouse Operations (Approx. 50%)

  • Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing materials in the warehouse.
  • Perform inventory checks, labeling, and order preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse space.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as needed (training provided if necessary).
  • Support general facility upkeep and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Previous driving and/or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently.
  • Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday (occasional weekends or overtime as needed)
  • 10am-7pm
