Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Team Lead, Maintenance through 11/16/2025 at 11:59 p.m. (PST).

Lead maintenance activities for facilities under responsibility. Provide work direction and prioritize work tasks for maintenance mechanics team. Optimize maintenance activities to reduce costs, improve reliability and support safe facility operations. Responsible for all aspects of compliance tasks and performance of maintenance team under supervision.

Applies broad level maintenance and reliability knowledge and expertise across the full spectrum of surface facility maintenance activities, including inspection, troubleshooting, repair and both preventative and predictive maintenance.

Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications And Skills

  • Planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing, and participating in all tasks related to routine maintenance.
  • Demonstrates time management and organization skills.
  • Manages maintenance workers and has strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a valid TWIC card or be able to obtain a TWIC card within 6 months of employment.
  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience is required, and 3 years management/supervision experience is preferred.
  • Responsibly handling emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of all the crafts that support routine maintenance and how they support each other to complete scheduled and unscheduled work productively.
  • Ability to coach, influence and support union represented craft mechanics that execute work as part of reactive maintenance, preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to manage, support, coach, and mentor teams with a proven ability to provide clear business priorities and expected outcomes to team members.
  • Ability to connect the teams work to the business plan priorities and competitive performance targets. Establishes and communicates clear objectives, work activities, and productivity targets for the crews. Ability to simplify messages and actions to gain alignment / commitment to action with team.
  • Ability to grow capabilities of craft mechanics and model dynamic leadership.
  • Ability to coach employees to achieve their career interests is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to align with the customer on priorities while balancing good discipline to work processes. Requires strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate with craft mechanics, MTL's and other refinery stakeholders such as Operations, Reliability and Technical to achieve business plan. Building and maintaining a strong Incident and Injury Free culture is an essential core value in the position.
