This is a highly strategic and hands-on role. You must be able to move quickly, work autonomously, and develop scalable programs with outside support. This is not a traditional L&D role: You will need to bring a foundational understanding of HR, combine that with strong operational instincts to complete a comprehensive training program within 3–6 months. Your work will directly impact franchisee success and internal team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Development of Training

  • Create, manage, and deploy a full suite of training tools and systems, including onboarding tracks, SOPs, execution playbooks, and milestone-based curriculums
  • Engage and oversee external consultants or a training development firm to help produce, digitize, and standardize materials rapidly
  • Ensure content is aligned with business objectives, operational workflows, and JETSET’s high brand standards

Internal Team Onboarding and Playbooks

  • Design and own all franchisor-side onboarding materials for HQ departments (Ops, Marketing, Real Estate, etc.)
  • Build consistent internal processes and blueprints that scale as the company grows
  • Partner with HR and executive leadership to track onboarding effectiveness, define success metrics, and update materials regularly

Franchisee Training & Enablement

  • Create franchisee-facing playbooks, execution guides, training modules, toolkits, and resources to support opening success and ongoing operational excellence
  • Ensure franchisee-facing training is digestible, milestone-driven, interactive, and consistent across markets
  • Partner with Ops, Marketing, Franchise Services, Real Estate, and Construction teams to ensure trainings are integrated with pre-opening timelines

LMS Ownership & Optimization

  • Manage the LMS (content upload, administration, and user support)
  • Analyze user data to track completion rates, engagement, and learning gaps
  • Continuously improve platform usability and content structure based on user feedback

Project Management & Vendor Oversight

  • Manage the internal project management platform (content upload, setup, user support) to align with LMS for all pre-opening franchise location projects
  • Source, vet, and manage external task force support (contract instructional designers, content producers, etc.)
  • Drive the execution timeline aggressively to meet the 3–6 month launch goal
  • Manage budget and scope for L&D initiatives with clear milestones and deliverables

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align closely with Ops, Real Estate/Construction, Franchise Support & Services, and Marketing teams to ensure training supports company-wide goals
  • Integrate input from franchisees and HQ departments to ensure content is both practical and scalable

Experience & Skills

  • 8+ years in Learning & Development, HR, Training Design, or Franchise Operations
  • If you’ve worked in Wisetail or ClickUp before, we’ll be extra excited to meet you!
  • Experience building training infrastructure from scratch and leading high-speed rollouts
  • Strong understanding of HR fundamentals (especially onboarding, org design, and success metrics)
  • Proven ability to manage external resources, agencies, or contractors to hit fast deadlines
  • High attention to detail and ability to translate complex processes into structured, teachable content
  • Comfort operating in a startup or scaling environment where ambiguity and change are frequent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for fitness, lifestyle, and the JETSET brand

Travel required for in-person training, to record any L&D content, and team meetings.
