This position is responsible for picking up/ delivering materials from/to facilities and ensuring quality control requirements are met. This position will also be a Dual role, and some of the days could be spent in the warehouse. May be responsible for other process duties as assigned. There may be an occasional need for overnight stay for extended routes once or twice per month. Sprout will make hotel arrangements and provide per diem

Responsibilities
Essential Driver Job Responsibilities
- Picking up and loading materials from facilities. Will drive up to 500 miles per day
- Utilizing a handheld scanner to process/check in materials.
- Uploading documentations to the systems
- Inspecting products for physical damage or contamination to ensure safety compliance requirements.
- Ensuring vehicle preventative maintenances (“PM’s”) are met within scheduled parameters.
- Meeting goals for service requirements at all route stops.
- Reporting any citations, issues or incidents to supervisor or team lead in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Maintaining good attendance and punctuality.
- Maintaining accurate records and driver logs. (Use of Electronic Logging Device)
- Meets goals for quality, productivity, and cost.
- Keeps truck clean and orderly
- Ability to communicate effectively; both in written and verbal communications.
- Ability to lift an object weighing up to 85 pounds
- Must maintain professional appearance and be willing to wear a standard Sprout-provided shirt.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision, maintaining scheduled pickup/delivery deadlines.
- Availability for overtime as needed.
- Willingness to become hazmat certified within a month of hire if not already DOT certified.
- Commitment to constant improvement and willingness to participate in ongoing training.
- Must possess a positive attitude and high degree of professionalism when dealing with internal and external individuals, especially when faced with difficult situations.
- Product Identification: Recognize and categorize IT assets and consumer electronics.
- Material Handling: Safely transport materials across the site.
- De-Manufacturing: Disassemble IT assets into constituent parts for recycling or disposal.
- Adherence to Operational Procedures.
- Safety and Security Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and data security procedures (R2v3, ISO 27001).
- Ability to obtain Forklift Certification
Experience
- 1 Year of experience driving a delivery truck is required
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Basic understanding of electronics and batteries
- Basic math skills
- Ability to operate and safely use a pallet jack and lift gate.
