Weber Shandwick is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team in Washington, DC. You will be joining a team of business strategists, data analysts, data scientists and data engineers to build innovative data solutions.
The Data Scientist will design, build, test, and implement data solutions that support clients’ Enterprise Analytics teams as well as Weber Shandwick’s internal strategy, creative and media planning teams. The role will work closely with strategists and data engineers to ensure the advanced analytics deliverables and modeling solutions meet business demands.

The Data Scientist will design, build, test, and implement data solutions that support clients’ Enterprise Analytics teams as well as Weber Shandwick’s internal strategy, creative and media planning teams. The role will work closely with strategists and data engineers to ensure the advanced analytics deliverables and modeling solutions meet business demands.
- Creative out-of-the-box thinker who will drive innovation.
- Effective communicator who can present results and craft a compelling insights narrative to non-technical executive audiences
- Work with strategists and client leads to obtain a greater understanding of the needs of the business and the types of solutions that supports business goals.
- Design and build innovative analytics solutions, utilizing statistical and machine learning algorithms (multivariate regression, factor analysis, cluster analysis, time series analysis, survival analysis, Markov chain, NLP, network graph analytics).
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, or social sciences with emphasis on statistics and research methods (or related disciplines) preferred.
- Creative-minded individual, enjoys open-ended problems and challenging the status quo
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Science role
- Proficiency coding in Python, R or equivalent
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
