Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead construction crews on job sites, ensuring efficient and high-quality work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and job scopes to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Organize daily work schedules, delegate tasks, and coordinate equipment and material deliveries.
- Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Troubleshoot on-site challenges and implement proactive solutions to keep the project on track.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
- Train and mentor crew members, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and project documentation.
- Required:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a superintendent or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of concrete work, framing, site preparation, grading, and general construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and job specifications.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple job sites, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and proper site procedures.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to coordinate with teams, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Preferred:
- Experience working on residential, commercial, industrial, or government projects.
- Certifications in OSHA, Fall Protection, Forklift, or Heavy Equipment Operation.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and digital reporting tools.
