Key Job Details – Clinical Director of Employee Health Services

  • Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Clinical Director of Employee Health Services
  • Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
  • Location: Staten Island, NY
  • Shifts per Week: 3 (MWF ideally)
  • Shift Duration: 8-hour days
  • Hours per Week: 24
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $3,350 - $3,970
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks then permanent conversion
  • Start Date: January 5, 2026

Qualifications – Clinical Director, Employee Health Services

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Active New York State NP Licensure required
  • Minimum 3 years of NP experience required; 5+ years preferred, with at least 3 years in occupational health, employee health, or hospital healthcare setting
  • Leadership or management experience in healthcare strongly preferred
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN), Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S), or similar credential preferred, not required
  • Certification in infection control (CIC) or related healthcare field is a plus

Responsibilities – Employee Health Services Director

  • Lead and oversee daily operations of the employee health department to ensure high-quality clinical support and service delivery
  • Develop, implement, and manage Employee Health Services policies and procedures for hospital staff
  • Coordinate mandatory health screenings, immunizations, and compliance with pre-employment and annual health clearances
  • Provide regular updates to hospital leadership on compliance for annual clearances, flu vaccination status, and fit-testing for staff
  • Stay current on healthcare trends and implement best practices in employee health and occupational health services
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations
  • Oversee workers' compensation claims and manage the clearance process for employees returning from medical leave
