Key Job Details – Clinical Director of Employee Health Services
- Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Clinical Director of Employee Health Services
- Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
- Location: Staten Island, NY
- Shifts per Week: 3 (MWF ideally)
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Hours per Week: 24
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $3,350 - $3,970
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks then permanent conversion
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Active New York State NP Licensure required
- Minimum 3 years of NP experience required; 5+ years preferred, with at least 3 years in occupational health, employee health, or hospital healthcare setting
- Leadership or management experience in healthcare strongly preferred
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN), Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S), or similar credential preferred, not required
- Certification in infection control (CIC) or related healthcare field is a plus
- Lead and oversee daily operations of the employee health department to ensure high-quality clinical support and service delivery
- Develop, implement, and manage Employee Health Services policies and procedures for hospital staff
- Coordinate mandatory health screenings, immunizations, and compliance with pre-employment and annual health clearances
- Provide regular updates to hospital leadership on compliance for annual clearances, flu vaccination status, and fit-testing for staff
- Stay current on healthcare trends and implement best practices in employee health and occupational health services
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations
- Oversee workers' compensation claims and manage the clearance process for employees returning from medical leave
