The Junior Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Business Analyst in the Client Services department. Will support all functional areas within Client Services. Responsibilities also include interacting with key users to support the analysis and reporting needs within Mercedes-Benz Financial Services including production, ad-hoc, and manual reporting. Responsible for assisting the Business Analyst with analyzing supported department's information needs and making recommendations to management regarding solutions to business problems and areas where efficiency can be increased. Responsible for working with the Business Analyst and Data Steward for identifying enhancements to the reporting environment (MORIS Data Mart , Remarketing Data Mart, Data Warehouse) by following formal system development methods.

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:

The Junior Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Business Analyst in the Client Services department. Will support all functional areas within Client Services. Responsibilities also include interacting with key users to support the analysis and reporting needs within Mercedes-Benz Financial Services including production, ad-hoc, and manual reporting. Responsible for assisting the Business Analyst with analyzing supported department's information needs and making recommendations to management regarding solutions to business problems and areas where efficiency can be increased. Responsible for working with the Business Analyst and Data Steward for identifying enhancements to the reporting environment (MORIS Data Mart , Remarketing Data Mart, Data Warehouse) by following formal system development methods.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Control: 1.1. Review daily, weekly, and monthly manual reports produced by DIAA Reporting Analysts and Business Analyst Team for accuracy and resolve issues as needed. 1.2. Publish the reports to customers based on the distribution lists. (5%)
- Scope: 2.1. Work with Business Analyst to review customers' reporting requests and determine how to translate the requested report into a physical form, which includes defining the measures, dimensions, and layout of the report. (15%)
- Customer Support: 3.1. Provide ad hoc reports and report development in a timely manner. Work with Business Analyst to assess the correct priority for requested items. 3.2. Attend project meetings at a customer's request providing any analysis or other information required by the customer. (25%)
- Ad hoc Reports and Analytical Efforts 4.1. Assess customers' requests and provide ad hoc reporting (using BI tools, which includes Cognos, Power Play, Access, SQL, and Excel) and analysis based on those requests. Work with Business Analyst to determine priority. 4.2. Trouble shoot issues with report and data integrity as needed (25%)
- Support Data Insights & Advanced Analytics Team 5.1. Assist with special initiatives/projects specific to related MBFS initiatives. 5.2. Represent reporting during participation on key project initiatives. 5.3. Work with Business Analyst to identify data gaps and utilize the Data Analyst team to incorporate needed information into the data warehouse during quarterly IT updates. (15%)
- Business Analysis and Consulting 6.1 Work with Business Analyst to provide analytical and consulting engagements with in the functional areas of reporting responsibility (e.g. MB ART, Titles, Dealer Services, etc.). 6.2 Work with Business Analyst to identify key areas of opportunity through process mapping or data analysis that would reduce or eliminate redundant reporting processes. 6.3 Reduce the number of manually generated reports through automation. (15%)

- 1 year level of experience required in the following: Knowledge of ANSI and/or DB2 SQL (ability to write a simple query/understand parts/functions of queries) Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (create/use pivot tables, create charts/graphs, and write formulas) Basic knowledge of MS Access (create queries and reports without using wizards)
- 1 Year of experience preferred in the following: Intermediate understanding of ANSI/DB2 SQL Experience using MS Office Suite (intermediate skill with Excel) Basic understanding of Cognos BI Suite Basic understanding of Visual Basic for Applications
