Your ‘day To Day’
Responsible for purchasing and maintaining an adequate supply of raw material items. Executes policies, procedures and objectives of the procurement process, obtaining necessary purchases at the lowest cost consistent with approved quality and delivery standards.

Employees are auto-enrolled in our company’s 401(k)/Deferred Profit Sharing (DPS) Plan, which provides for both annual 5% employer matching contribution and an annual employer contribution.
As a new hire, you will enjoy an allotment of paid vacation time, paid sick time, 12 paid company holidays, and 3 paid floating holidays. We also provide our employees with paid parental leave, paid family and medical leave, paid bereavement leave, paid sick and safe time, paid public emergency leave, paid time off for jury duty, and paid time off for certain activities relating to their status as a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or crime. The company offers unpaid national guard and reserve leave, unpaid civil air patrol leave, unpaid qualified volunteer leave, and unpaid time off for employees engaging in certain activities relating to criminal proceedings.
The company also provides basic life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, and short-term and long-term disability insurance to employees at no cost. Employees have the option to purchase supplemental life and AD&D coverage for themselves, spouse, and dependent children.

Your ‘day To Day’
Responsible for purchasing and maintaining an adequate supply of raw material items. Executes policies, procedures and objectives of the procurement process, obtaining necessary purchases at the lowest cost consistent with approved quality and delivery standards.
Major Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Keeps informed of all new developments relative to materials and supplies, and makes recommendations designed to reduce costs and improve methods.
- Collaborates with the Commodity Manager-Raw Materials on the selection of new suppliers and provides feedback on the performance of current suppliers.
- Forecasts purchase requirements for raw materials out 6 months to 1 year, placing blanket orders to ensure continued supply at the best price per purchase agreement volumes and contracts, while maintaining optimum inventory levels to meet KPI's.
- Ensures all packaging materials are available to meet the production schedule through executing the weekly production schedule and ordering/releasing all materials as required.
- Reviews MRP and orders miscellaneous packaging materials based upon requirements.
- Furnishes purchase analyses and cost data for use in scheduling, planning, budgeting, and other functional activities.
- Establishes relations with key vendors that embrace mutual respect, trust and open sharing of information.
- Assists with Raw Material budget and forecasts.
- Assists with establishing Standard Costs for Raw Materials.
- Manages and implements standard artwork changes to existing packaging.
- Works with all areas of Marketing to ensure that packaging graphics changes occur in a timely manner, minimizing obsolescence.
- Member of Supplier Evaluation team for raw materials.
- Measures and documents supplier delivery, quality, and performance. Provides feedback and communication including Corrective and Preventive Action process.
- Researches and remains up to date on all OSHA, FDA, and other regulatory agencies in the areas of ingredients, materials, and supplies to ensure compliance.
- Fulfills other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Purchasing Manager or Factory Manager
- A bachelor’s degree in business related field or area of expertise related to Procurement responsibility
- Ability to utilize computers including specialized Purchasing software, Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to work with different personalities in a successful manner.
- Fluent in English
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Required)
