About Business Analysis at UPS Technology:

Our Business Systems Analysts tie our technology to our business needs as they determine how new tech solutions will affect our customers. Their analysis ensures we maximize the positive impact of new technology across the business. As a UPS Business Analyst, you are a problem solver that enables the organization to achieve its goals and bring value to our UPS teams and customers!

About This Role

The Business System Analyst works with some supervision on projects of moderate to high complexity and independently on projects of low to moderate complexity. He/She serves as a liaison between the business community and Information Services (I.S.). This position elicits and analyzes business needs for assigned projects, communicates with stakeholders, and participates in determining if the solution fits within the long-term strategic vision. This position ensures that Business Systems Analysis (BSA) work products conform to quality and content standards.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Works on projects of simple to moderate complexity
  • Serves as liaison between Business Development and Software Development
  • Contributes to the identification of solutions and the development of business and functional requirements that meet the needs of the business
  • Interacts with other functions and departments (Software Development, QA, deployment, build team, support and integration, etc.) throughout the software development life cycle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Business Process Analysis and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
  • Knowledge of Structured Systems Analysis, Agile Development, Requirements Elicitation, and User Story writing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong organization skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
  • Now or in the future UPS employment sponsorship, such as H1B, TN, J-1, F-1, etc., is not needed in order to start or continue temporary or permanent employment with UPS.
