The Surgery Center at Tradition Hospital is looking to add a Business Manager to the team. A caregiver in this role will oversee the billing department, including billing, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable and end-of-the-month reporting. You will collaborate with Clinical Managers to ensure fiscally responsible operations, while implementing, monitoring and evaluating the overall business functions. Having a background in financial analysis combined with strong soft skills and people management experience will allow you to excel in this role.
A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM.

Maximum Annual Salary: $87,697.50

A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Implement, monitor and evaluate the overall business functions of the service units.
- Ensure compliance with all JCAHO, state and local regulatory agencies.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement activities and report findings, conclusions, recommendations, plans for actions and follow-ups.
- Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost reduction.
- Meet with key physician stakeholders to discuss growth opportunities, strategies to enhance services and other pertinent issues.
- Develop a budget plan (capital, staffing and operational) according to organizational goals.
- Ensure appropriate communication regarding practices, equipment or supplies which affect the cost per case and billing/coding practices.
- Implement a mechanism which allows for product requests to be evaluated from clinical, cost and service perspectives.
- Develop and implement a mechanism for equipment acquisition, storage and maintenance on an ongoing basis.
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Three years of Materials Management experience in a related field
- Proficiency with desktop applications
- Knowledge of business administrative functions including budget development and management, cost analysis, operations analysis and project management
- Master’s degree
- Experience in healthcare billing with a focus on Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) facilitation
- Strong understanding of payer and insurance processes
- Background in financial analysis
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- In some locations, ability to move up to 50 pounds.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
