Business Manager - Surgery Center

The Surgery Center at Tradition Hospital is looking to add a Business Manager to the team. A caregiver in this role will oversee the billing department, including billing, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable and end-of-the-month reporting. You will collaborate with Clinical Managers to ensure fiscally responsible operations, while implementing, monitoring and evaluating the overall business functions. Having a background in financial analysis combined with strong soft skills and people management experience will allow you to excel in this role.

A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Implement, monitor and evaluate the overall business functions of the service units.
• Ensure compliance with all JCAHO, state and local regulatory agencies.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement activities and report findings, conclusions, recommendations, plans for actions and follow-ups.
• Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost reduction.
• Meet with key physician stakeholders to discuss growth opportunities, strategies to enhance services and other pertinent issues.
• Develop a budget plan (capital, staffing and operational) according to organizational goals.
• Ensure appropriate communication regarding practices, equipment or supplies which affect the cost per case and billing/coding practices.
• Implement a mechanism which allows for product requests to be evaluated from clinical, cost and service perspectives.
• Develop and implement a mechanism for equipment acquisition, storage and maintenance on an ongoing basis.
  
  

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Three years of Materials Management experience in a related field
• Proficiency with desktop applications
• Knowledge of business administrative functions including budget development and management, cost analysis, operations analysis and project management
  
  

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Master’s degree
• Experience in healthcare billing with a focus on Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) facilitation
• Strong understanding of payer and insurance processes
• Background in financial analysis

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $57,510.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $87,697.50
