About The Opportunity

As the Business Development Manager, Mine Planning based in Tucson, Arizona, you will play a vital role in driving new business for Micromine’s intuitive open-pit mine planning solution, Micromine Alastri. Leveraging your sales experience and mining industry knowledge, you will identify new opportunities, build strong relationships, and deliver tailored solutions that meet our clients’ technical needs.

Reporting to the Head of Business Unit, Mine Planning your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the end-to-end sales process, including nurturing prospects, demonstrating solutions, handling objections, and closing deals
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mining industry
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence
  • Participating in marketing events such as trade shows, conferences, and product launches
  • Stay informed about mining industry trends and market demands

About You

You will have a proven background in mining engineering, including experience with mine planning.

Other Key Skills, Experience, And Qualifications

  • Experience with mine planning software/solutions.
  • Experience with open pit mining.
  • Experience with sales/business development, including driving new business
  • Experience with giving presentations or public speaking.
  • Strong prospecting and qualification skills.
  • Possess a Mining Engineering or related post-secondary degree.
  • English proficiency required, Spanish skills are a bonus.
