Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst (BA) with experience in the insurance industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood, documented, and translated into actionable user stories.
Key Responsibilities:
Own, manage, and prioritize the product backlog of user stories.
Conduct backlog refinement sessions with the Scrum development team.
Participate in sprint planning and review meetings, providing feedback on sprint achievements.
Ensure product features are clearly defined to eliminate ambiguity for the development team.
Attend daily scrum meetings as needed to monitor development progress and delivery.
Provide regular updates on status, risks, and progress to management and stakeholders.
Analyze stakeholder feedback to identify high-value features and components.
Engage with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
Measure product performance and market value to inform iterative improvements.
Assess the product value stream to identify and implement enhancements.
Define user story acceptance criteria and approve stories for development.
Drive sprint goals and act as the sole owner for sprint deliverable acceptance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment in accomplishing tasks.
Experience working independently and leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and developers.
Familiarity with defining and maintaining online brand guidelines and strategy.
Strong creative and aesthetic judgment with the ability to synthesize ideas into cohesive outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Agile (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, PMI-ACP).
Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
Background in UX/UI collaboration and digital product development.
