Nova Biomedical is hiring an Associate Scientist I to work in our Waltham, MA facility within a multiple-disciplinary team to conduct the research and development of chemical biological sensors, assays, and reagents for clinical analyzers and instrumentations.

More Specific Responsibilities Will Include

  • Conduct research and development in assigned area, under general supervision, using established methodologies
  • Record, store and summarize information and data
  • Develop laboratory skills and familiarity with equipment for operation for operation, maintenance and raw data gathering
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Able and willing to handle biohazard blood samples
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Chemistry, Biology, or Biomedical engineering with 0-2 years of industrial experience
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and/or laboratory statistical programs
  • Ability to perform general laboratory skills
  • Ability to operate Word Processor and Spreadsheet
  • Ability to identify and recommend solutions to routine problems
