Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Business Analysis in Boston, MA

Develop technical software solutions. Produce efficient and elegant software code based on business requirements. Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software solutions and applications. Interpret business requirements and specifications to recommend best business practices and solutions. Perform detailed data analysis and software validations. Collaborate with internal software developers on production issues and enhancement requests. Prepare, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Testing. Design workflows for new data feeds and software processes. Work on multiple software projects. Act as relationship manager for both internal and external investment applications. Prioritize, log, and track user related software issues, defects, enhancements, and work requests. Facilitate service management tickets and calls from Business users. Adopt SRE Principles and apply them to BAU use cases.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $143,000 and $143,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or a related field of study and one (1) year of experience in the position offered or one (1) year as a Business Data Analyst, Software Developer, or a closely related occupation. Requires one (1) year of experience with: Relational Data bases and Data Modelling; SQL; Data Analysis and Data pipelines development using Python; Data Pipelines Code, User Accepting testing and Software Validation; Data Management and Data integrity checks; Working on user requests for Software and Process enhancements; Linux and Bash scripting; Data visualization tools including Tableau; CI/CD process; Monitoring tools including Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana; Automate Incident response and Recovery workflows; Creating tickets and reports using ServiceNow; Preparing Post Mortem decks for Root Cause Analysis and Impact Mitigation; Agile Methodologies; Kanban; Jira Boards; Version control including Git, or BitBucket; Cloud based Data warehousing including Snowflake; Public Cloud platforms including Azure or AWS.
