The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Creative Department
Museum Overview: Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum documents and interprets the history of country music—a musical genre and culture central to the identity of the city, the state, and the nation. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the museum proudly combines subject expertise, ambitious research, and preservation of an unparalleled collection with expressions of creativity in music, art, and history. The museum collects artifacts that illustrate the evolving history and traditions of country music and provides diverse learning opportunities through educational programs, publications, and exhibitions. The core exhibit follows the story of country music from its folk beginnings through its evolution as a commercial art form. Rotating exhibits examine a broad range of topics, from country classics to contemporary and emerging artists in American Currents. The museum owns Hatch Show Print, a letterpress print shop opened in 1879, and it operates Historic RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley and many others recorded.
What We Offer for Full-Time Staff:
Position Overview: The Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Vice President of Creative in all administrative work, including (but not limited to) scheduling and calendar management, reception, VIP guest services, typing, filing, answering telephones, compiling and tracking expenses, email management, office organization and backup support for other members of the Creative Department. They will also support the project management team by running a variety of ongoing creative projects that will include the scheduling, execution, and delivery of projects – shepherding them from kickoff to completion. They will work closely with graphics designers, video editors, content creators, copywriters, and print production team members. This position requires excellent organizational skills, discretion, superior communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will be subject to a background check and confidentiality agreement.

Specific Duties Include:
- Provide general administrative support, such as filing, setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies
- Draft email / letter correspondence on behalf of the Vice President of Creative Services
- Provide real-time scheduling support by booking appointments, preventing conflicts, and scheduling meetings (internal and external) on behalf of the Vice President of Creative Services
- Create agendas and generate reports and support materials as required using various software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
- Manage department budget by entering expense reports and POs
- Assist in organizing and implementing special projects and events
- Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
- Follow up on action items to ensure deadlines are met
- Make travel arrangements and itineraries
- Assist in onboarding employees
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or other related sales and marketing field; or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- An understanding of deadline-driven assignments
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- 1 – 2 years of administrative or Project Management experience preferred
- Superior organizational skills
- High level of discretion
