Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Assistant General Manager at the Eye Tooth is to oversee and ensure the smooth operation of the front-of-house, providing a superior dining experience to all patrons. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of servers, bussers, hosts, expos, and bartenders while working closely with the kitchen staff to meet each customer's unique needs and expectations. Key responsibilities include staff hiring, training, and scheduling, managing customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation policies, and optimizing service flow. The Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in maintaining high operational standards and promoting a positive work environment.

Essential Functions
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the staff in the front-of-house, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Ability to use Hot Schedules as a scheduling platform.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of the menu, specials, and drink offerings.
- Monitor and manage customer satisfaction and promptly address any issues or concerns.
- Manage and optimize the flow of the restaurant to ensure prompt and high-quality service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and coordinated service.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Conduct financial transactions and oversee cash handling procedures.
- Coordinate and manage opening and closing duties.
- Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older and have 3+ years restaurant management experience.
Things That Are a Plus, But Not Required
- Experience with HotSchedules or other online scheduling platforms.
- Experience with TOAST POS system.
- Experience with bar management.
- Stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
- Lift and carry 30+lbs
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, financial management, and customer service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Bend, reach, stoop, and move quickly
- Work in close proximity to coworkers in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
