- This role will support our sport sponsorships by leveraging assets to drive business objectives, provide unique opportunities for our brand, and when applicable support other internal business units.
- Additional objectives include managing sponsorship asset execution, supporting sponsorship measurement efforts, supporting ticket fulfillment and hospitality, coordinating community and military activations, and enhancing American’s brand perception.
- The role is a part of the Sponsorships and Activations team within our Global Engagement Group.

- Support overall development of comprehensive and strategic marketing plans and campaigns
- Plan and execute both physical and digital sponsorship activations
- Collaborate with multiple internal departments and external partners to drive sponsorships success
- Support the annual Sponsorship and Activation budget
- Manage the hospitality component of partnerships
- Take ownership of tasks/projects and proactively communicate next steps, timelines and potential issues to appropriate stakeholders
- Develop critical thinking skills by demonstrating the ability to anticipate major issues / obstacles and provide recommendations on how to move forward
- Work with the in-house legal department (and respective agencies/partners) to support the development of contracts/agreements for talent, ambassadors and influencers
- Make positive impact on the team, maintain optimistic can-do attitude even when plans change
- Ability to work outside traditional office hours including evenings and weekends as needed and to be available for business travel as needed
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Advertising or related area or equivalent experience/training
- 2+ year of relevant experience
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Experience in partnerships, sports marketing, sponsorships, and events with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Prior experience working with outside agencies
- Knowledge and experience with planning and executing large-scale events and activations
- Prior project management experience
- Must be a highly organized self-starter with the ability to prioritize and perform within a deadline structured environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be enthusiastic and able to interact in a professional manner with all departments within the airline, divisional leadership and with external partners, customers and vendors.
