Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking an AI Developer to join our team in the United States.
- Capably handle multiple tasks and switch from task to task without loss of efficiency.
- Recommend and implement changes and enhancements to improve the quality of products and internal procedures.
- Write and implement efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Work with team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code, and perform unit testing.
- Mentor junior developers in specific areas of expertise.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to develop applications that meet customer needs.
- Use independent judgment and apply programming/software principles, theories, and concepts to complete assignments.
- Conduct complex work important to the organization.
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on AI development.
- Knowledge and deep understanding of Data Science best practices, approaches, and tooling.
- Expertise in LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Llama, etc.) and traditional ML model creation and productization.
- Experience with typical ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
- Proven experience taking LLM/ML use cases from concept (e.g., Jupyter notebooks) to productization and execution as part of a larger software application, including long-term model maintenance and retraining.
- Preference will be given to candidates located in the Roanoke, VA area.
- .NET, REST, and other traditional application development technologies.
- Process or industrial data analysis experience (a plus).
