As the Supply Chain Manager of PPG Aerospace Manufacturing site in Huntsville, AL, you will develop and enact strategies for efficient manufacturing and delivery of our products, that meet or exceed customer requirements. This role is also responsible for the long and short term planning and scheduling of raw materials, work orders, and finished goods to align with customer demands. This is a leadership position that will drive improvement initiatives, and you will have direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
- Create the policies, procedures, and systems required to meet the business objectives and to ensure continuous improvement in all material management and supply chain planning areas.
- Develop and lead a team of highly engaged supply chain professionals consisting of material planners, schedulers, analysts, and physical inventory managers.
- Manages and drives the local site S&OP processes.
- Implement the strategies required to sustain optimized inventory levels that achieves the company's DOH goals and supports a high customer service level.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen events to ensure effective and efficient supply chain processes.
- Produce an integrated master schedule for coatings and sealants (or transparencies) that reflects external and internal customer demand and priorities.
- Oversee the management of raw material purchase orders to ensure material availability needed for all manufacturing requirements.
- Identify current and potential inventory shortages and develop and implement appropriate recovery plans to minimize production disruptions.
- Maintain and monitor key performance indicators including on-time delivery, past due dollars, manufacturing trends, and inventory metrics.
- Responsible for physical inventory management including cycle counting and overall inventory accuracy across raw materials, WIP and FG categories.
- Maintain all key system planning parameters including lead times and safety stocks to ensure accurate MRP planning signals.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Operations
- 5+ years of experience in a supply chain role within a manufacturing setting
- APICS certification preferred but can be achieved while working
- ERP planning background is essential
- Prior leadership or management experience is extremely helpful
- Expert understand of MRP systems and its' planning parameters
- Demonstrated understanding of reporting tools including Excel and BI reports
