The Strategic Operations, Analysis, and Research (SOAR) Sector of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our collaborative team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be part of the backbone of our daily operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your role will be integral in maintaining an organized and professional office atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
- Office Management: Help to oversee office supplies, handle maintenance requests, manage incoming and outgoing mail, and ensure the office is always welcoming and functional.
- Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive support across departments with scheduling, clerical work, and government inventory management.
- Communication: Act as the face of the company for clients, visitors, and team members, offering top-tier customer service via phone and in person.
- Documentation: Organize, maintain, and file important documents and records efficiently.
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing internal events, meetings, and other organizational functions.
- Data Entry & Management: Accurately input and track data in our systems, ensuring information is always up to date and accessible.
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with strong attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- High school diploma required; additional qualifications as an Administrative Assistant or Secretary are a plus
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance (minimum)
- Pay is commensurate with experience, starting at $23hr and includes a total compensation package with ESOP (ARA is an employee-owned company)
