Acquisitions Associate

Homemade is an ATX-based, early-stage business that is democratizing home flipping by giving customers institutional-grade capabilities to flip homes without rolling up their sleeves. Today, the $230B annual flip economy is driven by brute force: trial and error, billions of dollars wasted, and a lot of mom and pop flippers. The Founders of Homemade, Lincoln Edwards and Lauren Ahrens have leveraged content, data, and strategic capital to productize the flip process. As an Acquisitions Associate at Homemade, you will play a critical role in identifying and acquiring off-market single family homes that align with our investment strategies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Source and evaluate off-market properties through various channels, including networking, market research, and lead generation.
• Utilize our internal proprietary software to evaluate and negotiate MLS listed opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with property owners, investors, real estate agents, and industry professionals to source exclusive investment opportunities.
• Conduct thorough property evaluations, including market analysis, comparables research, and financial assessments.
• Negotiate favorable terms and prices with sellers, while maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute effective acquisition strategies based on market trends and company goals.
• Manage transaction pipeline, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation and paperwork.
• Represent Homemade with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in all interactions.
• Demonstrate a scrappy, resourceful approach to problem-solving, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently in a fast-paced startup environment.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Active real estate license preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in real estate acquisitions or sales.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build rapport with sellers and industry professionals.
• Proficiency in property analysis, market research, and financial evaluation.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to thrive in a performance-based compensation structure and meet targets.
• A passion for real estate investment and a drive to contribute to company growth.
