POSITION SUMMARY:

The Grocery Clerk will be friendly and a team player. The individual will have to ensure that the grocery area is well maintained and running efficiently. Additionally, the Grocery Clerk will be the first point of contact with customers by providing them with information on their groceries

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Stock, rotate, and organize items on shelves;
  • Provide exceptional service and ensure the freshest product is available to customers;
  • Address inquiries and assist customers with location items throughout store;
  • Receive product deliveries and ensure accuracy of items;
  • Maintain clean shelves, racks, and aisles of store;
  • Provide flexibility by helping in any area in order to support store needs.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Grocery/produce experience desirable;
  • Customer Service experience desirable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS: The physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Some requirements may be modified to accommodate individuals with disabilities:
  • WALKING: Continuously, throughout shift, while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
  • STANDING: Continuously, throughout shift.
  • LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
